The “I accept the general terms” checkbox is required for an advisor to call you back. In the “Call me now” flow, the corresponding checkbox reads: “I agree that Sommet Protection shares my request with a partner financial security advisor (AMF-certified) to prepare my quote and contact me using my chosen method. Sommet Protection is paid by that advisor.”. Here is what these checkboxes mean.
1. A referral service
Sommet Protection sends your request to one independent partner financial security advisor, certified by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and attached to their own registered firm. The advisor pays Sommet Protection for the referral. Your request is never resold to other advisors.
Sommet Protection is neither an insurer nor a financial services firm. The assistant is a guided tool, not an advisor. The service is free for you and does not require you to buy insurance.
2. What you authorize by ticking the box
You agree that Sommet Protection may collect the information you provide, retain it to process your request and share it with the partner advisor handling your quote: your first name, mobile number, email if you provide one, the coverage you are interested in and, if you answer the optional questions, the amount considered, your current coverage (amount, wish to replace it), your age range, postal code, preferred call time and notes. Depending on the coverage and clientele, a few optional qualification questions are asked in ranges: purpose of the coverage, approximate monthly budget, income range, order of magnitude of your estate or business, existing group coverage. We do not request detailed medical information, social insurance numbers or financial statements: only approximate ranges are collected.
Your request is saved as soon as you confirm your mobile number and tick this box: the advisor is notified at that point, even if you do not answer the following questions. If you leave before the end, we may send you a reminder (text or email) with a link to finish your request. Provide accurate information, for your own request.
During assignment, only limited information (first name, coverage, region, preferred time) is shown to available advisors; your number and email are revealed only to the advisor who accepts your request.
3. Follow-up texts and emails
Sommet Protection may send you follow-up text messages as well as educational and follow-up emails related to your request. You may unsubscribe at any time. These messages concern your request and life and health insurance coverage.
Here are all the automated messages you may receive, depending on the contact details provided and the contact method chosen: an acknowledgement (email); an assignment notice naming the partner advisor and their firm (text or email); a follow-up journey spread over up to 90 days after your request, with up to four texts and eight educational or follow-up emails; if your request remains incomplete, up to two “finish your request” reminders (text or email) with a secure link; if the advisor starts an interest check, up to three texts asking you to reply 1 (yes) or 2 (no), followed by a question about the best time to call you; after your first conversation with the advisor, one rating text (1 to 5). Every text states that STOP ends the messages. Automated messages are sent between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Quebec time; no automated text on Sundays. Mobile verification by code and direct conversations with the advisor are separate.
A separate, optional checkbox, unticked by default, lets you expressly consent to receive commercial communications from Sommet Protection beyond this follow-up. These terms alone do not constitute that express consent.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in emails or by replying STOP to a text. The advisor may also stop the follow-up. The sequence ends upon unsubscribing, a confirmed conversation with the advisor or closure of the file.
4. Health details remain optional
After your request is saved, a few health details (number of medications, tests underway, tobacco or vaping) may help the advisor prepare the conversation. They require a separate agreement, requested before those questions; accepting these terms does not replace it. You may continue without sharing them, or withdraw your agreement before sending: those answers are then erased. No diagnosis, medication name or medical document is requested; do not enter any in the free-text notes. The form does not ask for your date of birth.
5. Cookies and navigation sharing remain your choice
Advertising and measurement cookies, as well as sharing your on-site journey with the advisor, are separate choices, off by default. The required checkbox does not enable them. You can manage them with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of every page. Declining them does not block your request.
6. Your information and your rights
The privacy policy identifies the operator and describes recipients, retention, safeguards and your rights. The advisor and their firm have their own obligations regarding the information received.
To request access, a correction or withdrawal of consent, email confidentialite@sommet-protection.ca. You can also withdraw your request in one click from the tracking page sent to you. Withdrawing the consent needed for processing ends your request. Some information may need to be retained to meet applicable obligations.
7. A request, without an insurance contract
Sending this form does not insure you or guarantee eligibility or a price. Website information and calculator estimates are indicative. The advisor must clarify your needs; the insurer determines the terms and any acceptance of coverage.
You can close this tab to return to your request.
